Questions and answers

We are asked most often about timing, fittings and care. If the answer is not here, write to us and we will reply in person.

Before ordering

How long does a stage tutu take?

Six to eight weeks. During the competition season we suggest ordering two to three months before the performance.

Can you sew to measure if we live in another city?

Yes. You send the measurements following our instructions together with photographs of the child in a leotard, and we run the fitting by photo and video.

Do you sew for adults?

Yes, we make adult sizes to measure, both for the stage and for rehearsals.

Can you copy a costume from a photograph?

We can work from a reference, but we do not reproduce somebody else's work exactly. We will draw our own design in the same mood.

After delivery

How do I wash a tutu?

Never in a machine. Clean the bodice locally and refresh the tulle with steam. Difficult stains are best left to a dry cleaner who works with stage costumes.

How should the costume be stored?

Hang the tutu plate upwards in a garment bag, or keep it in a box at least 50 cm across. Never leave it pressed against a wall.

Can the costume be let out when the child grows?

Most of our bodices have room in the lacing and the straps, so one size can usually be added. Send us photographs and the new measurements.
