How to choose a size
Three measurements decide almost everything. Below is how to take them, how to read the chart and what to do when a child is between sizes.
Take the measurements over underwear or a leotard. The tape should lie close but never pull. The child stands straight with arms down.
Height — from the crown of the head to the floor, without shoes. Chest — round the fullest points, the tape horizontal. Waist — round the narrowest point. Hips — round the widest points.
For adults we also take the back length from the seventh neck vertebra to the waist, and the underbust measurement.
If a child falls between two sizes, take the larger one: a laced bodice with a little room lasts longer.
